Comments:

Michael reminded members to bring to next week’s face to face meeting (6/12/12) any computers that may need to be programmed and readied for field day.   Also, an email should have been received by all members in the form of a check list for field day.  If any one did not receive the check list, see attached four page “FD Checklist.pdf” or please contact Michael at AB1OD “at” arrl.net.

Michael also mentioned for anyone interested that there will be a DX association meeting tomorrow night (6/6/12) at the league headquarters in Newington.

Harv wished all a good evening with comment on the great turnout for the net.  He also reported on the MS bike tour the previous weekend.  The bike tour was successfully monitored w/ a minor complication in Simsbury  that was taken care of. The complication on the MS bike ride was in Somers. (The mill fire, and subsequent investigation closed part of the route).

Don reminded all of the Bloomfield exam Saturday 6/30 at 9 a.m.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Don also mentioned that Michael, AB1OD is now the new president of the DX association.   Congratulations Michael!!

Roger K. mentioned starting his Ham radio career with Bloomfield.  I don’t remember the 50 years.  However there was some back and forth about his father (Roger B K1QPM) who he got started in Ham radio, and how Roger’s father and Don Moore (K1QPN) took their exams on the same day.

Reminder: Dues are DUE now.
